OUR HISTORY
Validor Capital was founded in 2012 by Matt Kaufman after an 18-year career in private equity at institutional investment firms. Matt particularly enjoyed working with lower middle market companies, the ones where he could roll up his sleeves with a handful of key owners and managers to share ideas, make decisions, and advance the business. Working among small teams was both fun and rewarding. Matt formed Validor so he could focus on lower middle market companies and pursue his passion of partnering with management teams to create enduring companies of significant value.
Since Validor’s founding, our team has grown to comprise executives with over 50 years of private equity experience in both operating and investing roles. We believe a team of diverse individuals with deep operating and investment experience enables us to provide greater value to the companies and managers we partner with.
